Here are some pictures from our outing on Monday 11/11/2024 to the Institut Français Chateaubriand with the 6th grade class as part of the "Digital Month". The institute introduced us to a virtual platform called "Micro-folies" coordinated by the Parc de la Villette under the impetus of the Ministry of Culture. Micro-Folie is a platform offering digital access to works of art from the largest French national museums digitized in very high definition. Then, we discovered a professional 3D printer and saw how it worked. Finally, on the big screen, we took a short tour of two French national monuments: the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, still in 3D. Before leaving, the Institute offered us small 3D models of the map of France to transform into a magnet or key ring. The outing impressed us and made us want to discover more about the possibilities of digital technology.
We thank the Institut français Chateaubriand for welcoming us and offering us this visit.
